La Madonna è Angelina Jolie
Secondo l’artista neo-rinascimentale Kate Kretz, la madonna ha il viso (e non solo) di Angelina Jolie.
Il quadro in olio e acrilico su lino, è di grandi dimensioni (223 x 152) e si intitola “Blessed Art Thou” (”Sia benedetta tu…”, tratta dall’Ave Maria).
Sul suo blog, Kate afferma che
Angelina Jolie was chosen as the subject because of her unavoidable presence in the media, the world-wide anticipation of her child, her “unattainable” beauty and the good that she is doing in the world through her example, which adds another layer to the already complicated questions surrounding her status.
The “Virgin” and Zahara figures are loosely based on a Van Dyck Virgin painting, and the Maddox figure’s pose is borrowed from a Raphael painting.
L’opera è stata esposta allo stand della Chelsea Galleria alla fiera dell’arte di Miami e ha una quotazione di $50.000.

…non avevo guardato bene l’ingrandimento e non avevo notato l’importanza data al logo della coca cola e alla bandiera americana…per cui ribadisco…

in realtà quella sopra è la madonna e quella sotto è l’umanità sofferente per cui la bandiera usa ci sta bene
