Paris Transatlantic Magazine ha pubblicato, circa un anno fa, una lunga intervista (in inglese) con Horatiu Radulescu.

Pur condita con un po’ di folklore, d’altronde stimolato dal nostro che spara senza mezzi termini sulla storia

He can’t stand Shostakovitch (“de la merde!”), dismisses Schnittke (“tuttifrutti!”), cordially dislikes Boulez (but admits that “he opened up a new sound world for all of us and his management skills come out well in front of the orchestra”)

e sui colleghi

…such as Dusapin (the tritones of whose cello concerto “set my teeth on edge”) annoy him through their business skills, and he refers to the music spectrale crowd in Paris with scorn (“they’re the mafiosi”)

l’intervista è comunque interessante per avvicinarsi alla personalità, alla storia, alla formazione e alle fonti di ispirazione di questo autore che, come altri contemporanei, amava la musica antica più di quella storicamente precedente e cercava di ritrovare quella componente rituale e quasi sacra della musica andata perduta nel tempo.
