Last week the Conservatorium (the public school of music here in Italy) where I work in Trento, bought a new mixer for the electronic music studio. It’s a Mackie 1640i with ADC/DAC included, so you can connect 16 in and 16 out to your computer through a single firewire cable (no more wires, wow!).
Looking at the box, I saw the usual set of icons (this side up, fragile, keep dry, etc), but there was one more. A single icon featuring the Jarod face and saying ALIEN SAFE.

Beh, dai, si stanno buttando avanti col packaging futuribile, visto e considerato che da più fonti, compreso l'”UFO Disclosure Project” è stato comunicato che a breve Obama dovrebbe rendere note pubblicamente moltissime prove inconfutabili che confermerebbero l’esistenza degli alieni.
The question is: COSA significa “alien safe”? Forse intendono che pur trattandosi di un mixer estremamente avanzato per la nostra attuale tecnologia terrestre, esso è esente da furti perpetrati da alieni, in quanto se ne fanno un baffo della nostra rudimentale tecnologia, rispetto alla loro… Tu che ne pensi?
Beh, forse “alien” ha un senso più ampio: estraneo (forse si difende come le seppie o le puzzole) oppure incapace/imbranato. Forse se arrivo io e premo due tasti a caso, si arrende subito senza combattere, né combinare guai… ;-))
