A simple process
Century of Aeroplanes, has produced a new EP, "A simple process" which
is a collection of 6 compositions, each of which is based around a simple melodic fragment. These fragments are then altered by various processes (i.e. adding notes, transposing, shifting the beat placement). The compositions end when the process has run its course
The result is a quiet ambient piece, with clear reminiscences of an old Eno, but it's not bad and the compositional planning applied to material of practically pop extraction deserves a mention.
