Agnes Heginger, soprano, and Karlheinz Essl, electronica, recorded this album, Out of the Blue, just under a year ago at the Essl Museum in Vienna.
Six songs, three of which are collaborations and three solos. The style is generally that of European free music: virtuoso, but often deconstructed and at times mannerist (there is, of course, a certain mannerism in free music as well).
But there is at least one song, this Action rituelle, recorded as a duo, which, in my opinion, transcends the genre and captivates with its intensity.
The album is distributed by the Portuguese netlabel XS Records and can also be downloaded free of charge from the Internet Archive.
