In Theravada Buddhism, Anagamin means "one who returns only once," that is, someone who has escaped the cycle of death and rebirth and is destined to be reincarnated only once more, before Nirvana [Britannica online].
Musically, it is a piece for twelve strings composed in 1965, a meditation on a single note, a theme dear to Giacinto Scelsi.
This time, the central note is Bb, which is also reflected in the tuning of the two cellos, one raising the highest string, A, to Bb, while the other lowers the low C by a tone.
