Aura

Aura is the title of the first quartet by Spanish composer Tomás Marco (1942).

Completed in 1968/69, this piece is notable for being based almost exclusively on a single note, played across various octaves, with different attack modes, timbres, and sonorities that create a shifting texture despite the sparseness of the material.
