I'm sharing with you an essay by Tristan Murail on Giacinto Scelsi (translated into English). The exponents of spectral music (Grisey, Murail, Dufourt) have never made a secret of considering Scelsi a forerunner of the movement, especially for his Four Pieces on a Single Note. In this article, Murail explains the reasons for his interest in the Italian composer's work.
