Nothing too flashy. It's a series of text-only pages that, however, showcase something that today, more than 30 years later, is commonplace, but was a major innovation at the time: hyperlinks.
On August 6, 1991, Tim Berners-Lee and Robert Cailliau of CERN put this site online, describing the foundations of the WWW project, which was actually created to allow high-energy physicists to share data, news, and documentation.
The site was accessible at http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html.
What you see online today is a snapshot of the site taken on November 3, 1992.
