The Future Forms Of Life is a short, visionary short film by David Lance based on the kinetic sculptures of Theo Jansen for years.

The basic idea is effectively outlined by this sentence by Lance:

If we work really hard on our dreams sooner or later we will reach our goals. But what if one day our dreams go too far?

And indeed, in the film, he imagines that Jansen's sculptures, which already move autonomously, pushed by the wind, will one day come to life.
