Iubiri

Radulescu again with a piece for a complex ensemble: 16 instruments (2 flutes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons, horn, trumpet, trombone, percussion, and string quintet).

According to the rather delirious notes in the libretto, the term Iubiri is the plural of the Romanian iubire (love). This piece, of considerable length, is composed of 343 iubiri. 343 micro-musics that, in the 47 minutes of the piece, integrate 7 acoustic spectra derived from the first 7 harmonics (excluding the 8ths) of a fundamental of C: C, G, E, Bb, D, F monesis (1/4 tone), G triesis (3/4 tone).

The song is distributed on AGP #110 in flac format. Here is the booklet with notes in pdf.

Recorded on 1994 in Paris by Ensemble Polychromie , conductor Nvart Andreassian
