MunArt

For the centenary of Bruno Munari, a website dedicated to him.

There I found this poetic quote by Buzzati on useless machines:

Each has its own special personality; some even have their own bizarre whims, one day they are lively and agitated, and the next they fall into an incomprehensible lethargy. Once left to their own devices, the useless machines escape human control, acquiring an autonomous existence, and Munari himself, the candid necromancer who created them, can no longer control them. Even in the blackest darkness, they continue to spin.
We sleep, and they do not. We wake up, and they are still there, spinning, gently accompanying the irreparable flight of time.
[Dino Buzzati, 1948]
