Music for Prague

coverEno conceived this music in 1998 for an installation he created in collaboration with Jiri Prihoda in Prague. The resulting CD was later sold at a charity auction for £400 in January 2001.

It is a long ambient track (an hour of music) in which various looped melodic lines of different durations are randomly superimposed, in the classic style of Eno's generative music. The resulting sound is similar to Music for Airport, but without the sensitive loops and with the difference that here the interventions are even more sparse. The result is a very slowly evolving whole, always different but always the same.

We offer you an excerpt lasting about 15 minutes.
