Musical genres map

Maybe I'll finally understand something about all those damned genre names that seem to have sprung from the depraved mind of some delusional critic in a classification frenzy.

Going to this huge page (Every Noise at Once) and clicking on a name plays an audio sample. All this is possible thanks to the Echo Nest APIs, which provide all sorts of information on genres, representative artists, similar genres, and links to resources on the web.

The instructions at the bottom of the page allow you to switch to other maps, by date, location, artist, and more.
