Musical instruments from waste

…but not out of whim or for some artistic challenge, but precisely because they can't do anything else.

And these aren't ethnic instruments, but instruments from the Western tradition that therefore compete with the sound of those crafted by top luthiers. Listening to a cello with a soundboard made from a garbage can, the result seems almost too good to me.
