Musopen

A user reported this site, online since February 2009.

It contains various free classical music scores (copyright expired) and several MP3s (not all of which are of good performance quality). The links to download the scores in PDF format are at the bottom of the relevant page. The transmission is a bit slow.

Also interesting is the Music Theory Textbook project, which aims to list music theory texts and articles that are freely downloadable (few, for now) and an online radio station that plays a selection of the performances featured on the site.
