NASA Sounds

NASA has opened its own channel on SoundCloud and the interesting thing is that the sounds contained therein can be used without restrictions for educational or informational purposes, but also for commercial purposes, as long as the space agency is not involved in any way (that is, you cannot, for example, make advertisements by saying that your piece is made with NASA sounds; if the NASA material is to be used for commercial purposes, especially including advertisements, it must not explicitly or implicitly convey NASA’s endorsement of commercial goods or services; see here).

The content is varied. It ranges from historical announcements (“Houston, we’ve had a problem” or "The Eagle has landed“) to rocket sounds, satellite beeps, and radio emissions recorded near planets and converted to audio.
