Noise

Katarzyna Kijek and Przemysław Adamski are Polish animators who insert animation elements into real footage, creating a play of imagination closely linked to sound.

Their technique is that of the now obsolete stop motion, in which one frame is captured at a time, moving the animated objects between shots. I say obsolete because stop motion, once widely used, has now been almost completely replaced by computer graphics. Kijek and Adamski, however, still manage to create highly evocative situations where the connection with sound is evident and rich.
