Nosaj Thing

Nosaj Thing (born Jason Chung) is a young musician from Los Angeles active in hip hop, remixes, and more.

This video for his song Eclipse/Blue struck me for the connection between the two dancers (one real, the other seemingly part of the video) and the (virtual) projection behind them. In fact, there are two dancers, one in front and the other behind the screen.

A play of light transforms the real character into an almost virtual monochrome silhouette that interacts with a second silhouette whose reality is unclear. Together they generate and merge with the evolving forms on the screen. Remarkable.

From what I understand, the credit for the video should go to Daito Manabe, takcom, Satoru Higa, and MIKIKO with support from The Creators Project. Moreover, the song is not so banal either.
