Plane Finder

A map, updated in real time, with the position of all (??) airliners currently in flight worldwide. You can click on the plane icon to see flight details.

I knew that maps like this existed for individual airlines or limited areas, but I didn't know such an aggregator existed. It's here.

UPDATE

Not all flights are mapped, only those equipped with an ADS-B data transmitter. However, most airlines use this device, which is becoming mandatory for almost all airliners.

The map has a number of very nice options, including showing a satellite image and adding a cloud layer and the plane's path.
