Prior Art is a beautiful piece for 10 instruments by Jason Freeman. It is a refined and delicate piece in which, behind the apparent simplicity of the parts, lies a complex balance of dynamics and timbres.

The ensemble is

flute
oboe (doubles on metal wind chimes)
bass clarinet
horn (doubles on suspended cymbal)
piano
percussion (vibraphone, crotales, snare drum, tam-tam)
violin, viola, cello, and bass
