Kaikhosru Shapurji Sorabji – born Leon Dudley Sorabji – (Chingford, 14 August 1892 – 15 October 1988) was a British composer and pianist of Parsi origin.
One of his most famous works, the Opus Clavicembalisticum, is considered one of the most difficult pieces ever written for piano due to its transcendental virtuosity and length (depending on the performance, it can vary from over three to five hours). His mammoth oeuvre (over 11,000 pages of scores and 100 hours of music) makes him one of the most prolific composers of the 20th century.
