Continuo’s weblog features a beautiful Wergo recording from 1985, now out of print, dedicated to sound sculptures.
The makers of the sounding objects featured on the album all belong to the Austro-German area, selected by critic Klaus Hinrich Stahmer. Composers include Anestis Logothetis, of Greek/Bulgarian origins and a naturalized Austrian, already known for his graphic scores from the 1970s, and instrument makers such as Hans-Karsten Raecke, and Herbert Försch-Tenge, with a beautiful piece generated by playing his own sculptures.
The individual pieces can be heard at UbuWeb, and the complete works at Continuo's weblog.
