These beautiful images (click to enlarge) refer to a modular synthesizer + sequencer & switchboard in perfect steampunk style. As far as I understand, this object was built by a certain Christian Günther for Moritz Wolpert, already known for his Heckeshorn, a plucked or struck string instrument, in an equally steampunk style, of which you can see some videos below.
It is a slide guitar enriched by a mobile capo instead of the tube inserted in the finger. The music is banally tonal, but it is so minimal and without frills that it is pleasant.
