Go and try this little game, as simple as it is hypnotic.

This is a simple sine wave synthesizer driven by a 16-step matrix sequencer.

Click the matrix to insert a note, click again to delete it. The low-high position corresponds to the pitch. Unfortunately, you can't control the velocity or the metronome, nor can you change the scale on which the pitches are distributed. Still, it's hard to stop.

It's all based on AudioTool, a set of tools, built in Flash, for generating music on the Internet.
