I'm not shocked. At least, not much. Just a little pissed off at how the industry appropriates everything without question.
Trusty Bell is a Japanese video game in which Chopin, just before dying, enters a dream world where he meets a magical girl with a terrible fate, yadda yadda yadda.
I'm not delirious, although I should be. The last three words are the comment of the American reviewer, Eliza Gauger, who concludes: "It looks cute, and the music should be wonderful."
UPDATE 09/29
The magical girl is named Polka and her cute friend Allegretto. Aaaaaarrrrrgggghhh!!!!
The subtitle, in fact, is "The Chopin's Dream." In the American version, however, it was deleted and replaced with "Eternal Sonata." Maybe, if it's a success, we'll see more episodes: "Eternal Ballad," "Eternal Impromptu," "Eternal Andante Spianato."
I wonder if, after I die, in addition to naming the electronic music classroom after me, they'll make a video game, "The Graziani's Dream," in which I meet a magical girl with a terrible destiny, yadda yadda yadda. Maybe I've already met her.
Anyway, if you want, here's the trailer (of Chopin's dream, not mine). Keep an eye (or ear) for the music.
