What you see are probably some of the oldest writings on Earth visible on Google Earth/Maps, and they are located in Russia. They were created by appropriately intervening on vegetation to celebrate anniversaries of the Soviet state and are true works of land art.
The first, which celebrates 100 years of Lenin, dates back to 1970, while the others, which celebrate 50 and 60 years of Soviet Russia, date back to 1967 and 1977. Their dimensions are enormous and from the ground you can't see what they represent: based on the Google Maps scale, for example, the first is about 500 m long.
As usual, the images are clickable. See more at English Russia.
