Zimoun

Zimoun is Swiss. He creates moving sculptures and installations in which the sound component is essential.

In his works, the movement of a large number of simple industrial objects driven by small motors creates a chaotic, granular flow of sound. As in Ligeti's Symphonic Poem for 100 Metronomes, here too the flow is created by the staggered superposition of many simple, identical elements, each with a regular rhythmic pulse.
